ESV Study Bible

Monday, October 13, 2008 by Eric Farr 2 Comments

The ESV Study Bible ships this week. As study Bibles go, this appears to be a good one. If you are planning to order one, you can get it Amazon for $31.49 (as of this posting). If you order it from this link (or the search box on the Library page), Grace Fellowship will get close to $2 as a referral fee.

I haven’t seen a copy, but with features like in-line color maps and figures (see Solomon’s Temple example), extensive background notes and introduction (see Psalms example), it looks like it will set a new standard for study Bibles.  Of course, at 2752 pages, you may need to check with your doctor before making this your carrying-around Bible. 🙂

Westminster Bookstore (www.wtsbooks.com) is shipping it today, and has the hardcover for just $28.49 + $3.00 shipping, which matches Amazon’s price.

Okay-yes, right up front, this is a shameless appeal, but I think it’s helpful to get this Bible into as many Christians hands as possible for such a good price.

I was able to review a copy yesterday and I thoroughly enjoy it! I’ve used the ESV Reformation Bible since it came out. This new ESV Study Bible is different enough to make a good companion.

The bookstore I work for, Scripture Truth Book Co. will have the ESV Study Bible available starting tomorrow, Oct. 15th for the following prices:

    ESV Study Hardcover- $32.99
ESV Study Tru Tone Brown- $52.49
    ESV Study Gen Black- $62.99

    http://www.scripturetruth.com/_store/

Our shipping rates are very reasonable. No more than $4-6 dollars, depending upon the price.

    Thanks,
    Chris Griffith
