What’s The Difference Between Catholics and Protestants?

When it comes to the question of salvation, Protestants and Catholics have very different beliefs. Protestants believe that salvation is by grace alone through faith alone, while Catholics believe that salvation is by grace plus works. This difference is largely due to the different authority structures. Protestants tend to interpret scripture more literally and hold it as the final authority, while Catholics give more weight to the tradition of the Church and Canon Law. Continue reading →
