The gospel is good news. However, it is not only news. Within Jesus’ actions we can actually see the truth of the content of the faith-filled obedience of Jesus that is the Gospel message being flexed. For example, when Satan sought to tempt Jesus to call on His power to create food in the wilderness, Jesus trusted the Father. When people sought to make Jesus King by force, Jesus refused because that action was not the will of the Father.
Over and over Jesus does what we have never done, trust the Father completely and fully and, thereby, reveal that He alone is sinless, qualified to be the sin-bearer that the world desperately needs. The following devotions walk through the last week of Jesus and drip with the good news that you need—Jesus is the Savior of the World.
