The idea of God’s faithfulness begs the question: What is God faithful to? When someone is faithful, there is always an object unto which faithfulness is being expressed. The faithfulness of a student to class is seen in attendance. The faithfulness of an employee is tracked through days at work. The faithfulness of a homeowner is expressed in paying the mortgage. So how do we measure God’s faithfulness?
