Before the days of Google maps and GPS, a map was a car- travelers best friend. However, if you were a hiker, the process of orienteering was a non-negotiable skill if you wanted to explore without getting lost. Orienteering is the process in which you use a compass along with a map to travel from point-to-point with speed and confidence. It could be said that Timothy is engaged in spiritual orienteering. Today, we will see Paul introduce a spiritual resource – like a compass and a map, that will help him lead the church at Ephesus.
