Everything designed to move has a way to be directed: cars have steering wheels, bikes have handle-bars, boats have rudders, trains have tracks, etc. The reason is apparent – the driver wants to go somewhere in particular. In Ephesus, some people were steering the Church away from the Gospel-based foundation that Paul labored for three-years to establish. Today we will see how Timothy must stand strong to ensure faithful living.
