“God always keeps his promises.” Is that good news or bad news? If we’re believers it is unimaginably good news. But for those who are not followers of Christ, it is terrible news because one of the things God promises is that one day, fully and finally, he will judge the wicked. Our passage this morning gives us a glimpse of what that final judgment will be like. It should cause us to praise this God who has made provision for his people to avoid his wrath and spur us on to share the good news of the Gospel with those who have yet to believe.
