Crisis Converted

Sunday, July 12, 2020 by Ken Rutherford Leave a Comment

This week in our study of Abram, our Father in Faith, we will discover just how profound a thinker Abram was. Indeed, Abram saw through the superficial aspects of God’s promises. He understood the “end game” of what God was doing. And yet, despite his great faith (which God counted as righteousness), Abram was deeply conflicted. He was a believer who struggled with unbelief. He was a man who found himself facing a crisis in his faith. But while Abram’s faith was weak, God’s faithfulness to his promise is all-powerful. And God redeems Abram’s crisis of faith. Instead of “Crisis Averted”, we see, in this narrative, “Crisis Converted”.
