Trusting the Lord is not natural, but it is essential. We are all born with the natural inclination to trust what we believe to be true, act on what we think is right, and do what we feel should be done. As we erect each of these towers that are rooted in self-confidence, we will fail to see our need for the Lord’s wisdom, justice, and discernment.
