The words “Tragedy” and “Triumph” sound similar phonetically, but have completely different meanings. A tragedy is “an event causing great suffering, destruction and distress.” Triumph is “joy or satisfaction resulting from a success or victory.” While being opposite in meaning, these two words are strongly related given success is often born out of failure.
