We value asking questions to better understand how to live life in a God-centered, Christ-exalting way. We believe that church should be the best place in which people can get solid answers to life’s questions.
- How does a Christian get forgiven of sin after becoming a Christian?
- As a disciple of Christ, I follow His teaching. As a citizen, I am to uphold the Constitution and laws of this country. If or when the law would legislate an action that would necessarily cause me to sin against Christ – if it were against the Law to share the Gospel, then I know I am called to disobey the law of the land given the clear command of Matthew 28:19. However, when/how do I honor the Founders of our Country on something such as the First Amendment? If the right to “free speech” is taken away do I fight for this right? While it is not a “Biblical” right, it was the vision of our Founders and, therefore, to what level does it rise? Civil disobedience (over any subsequent law) that would infringe on it? Do I dismiss the intent of the Founders?
- Could it be said that God caused Satan to sin initially given that God is the Sovereign and does all that pleases Him (Psalm 135:6)?
