Spreading God’s Fame through Partnership

Thursday, July 25, 2019 by Eric Groover 1 Comment

When you think of spreading God’s fame by making disciples of Christ, do you most often consider this through your individualistic efforts? Certainly making disciples is what each follower of Christ is called to do. It is not, however, merely a solo task. Spreading God’s fame is also a team endeavor. As the body of Christ, we need to be asking ourselves often how we can better partner together to make disciples of Jesus Christ. How then can we partner together?

First, acknowledge that you are part of a body that is to work together.

What do you think the Student Ministry and the Childcare Team have in common? What about the Essentials Membership Class and the Childcare Team? What about the Women’s Ministry Bible Study and the Childcare Team? They all want to spread God’s fame by making disciples of Jesus Christ. Is that something they all just do on their own? Certainly, each team has unique functions but each of those (and other ministries) partner together in this process.

Secondly, actively seek to partner together.

As we seek to spread God’s fame by making disciples of Jesus Christ, it is important for us to regularly be seeking to partner together. Each ministry team does not need to operate merely as silos. As we work together, we are able to strengthen and multiply our disciple-making efforts. Therefore, the Childcare Team seeks to support the ministries of our church by providing care for children, as we all spread God’s fame together.

Join the Team

Currently, the Childcare Team is going through a transition time with workers going off to college or others moving. We are thankful for the time they have served and look forward to hearing how God glorifies Himself through their lives in the future.

With this transition comes an opportunity for others to join the Childcare Team. We are currently looking for paid part-time workers for Wednesday mornings to help provide childcare for the Women’s Bible Study and on Sunday evenings to provide childcare for the student ministry and for new member classes. Once new workers complete the on team boarding process there is work available. Filling these spots greatly increases our ability to best partner with the ministries.

Filling these new vacancies helps the ministries of our church family make disciples of Jesus Christ. Contact us if you or someone you know might be interested in working on the Childcare Team. Please email childcare@forgodsfame.org for more information or speak with Courtney Blackston about how you can be a part of this important team.
