It’s the night of Passover. The day when the lambs that have been paraded into town four days before are to be slaughtered in preparation for every family’s feast. This night, Jesus and his disciples gather in an upper room where the meal has been prepared. On this night, Passover takes on a whole new meaning —the very meaning that was intended to be understood by the people in the first place.
