There are few subjects that surface a wide range of emotions like marriage. For some, marriage conjures up dreams of relational bliss, while for others a living nightmare. Today, we are back in the Gospel of Mark and will consider what Jesus thought and taught about marriage.

Hello pastor Dan,
What should I consider to change church leaders
Dan Miller says
I would consider three things. First, can you see a distinct pattern of life in which the person is evidencing trust of Christ. What makes you think that they are following Christ vs. just being willing to get involved? Second, how does their life compare to the qualities Paul relates to leadership found in I Timothy 3:1-14 or Titus 1:5-9. While these qualities should be in in the life of all disciples of Jesus, they will be more pronounced in those who want to take an active role in leading others. Third, begin to do a Bible Study or group in which you invite people that you think may be interested in leading others more intentionally. Or, if you know of someone who cannot attend but does seem to want to be part of leadership, give them small responsibilities for a time and see how they function (see I Timothy 3:10). Through all of this, make sure to be praying for the Lord to direct you to those people that display characteristics in being faithful, available, teachable, and responsive.
