Who Will Tell the Children

Friday, June 29, 2018 by Eric Groover Leave a Comment

The Responsibility to Tell the Next Generation

Psalm 145:3-4 states,

Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised, and his greatness is unsearchable. One generation shall commend your works to another and shall declare your mighty acts.

Whether mom, dad, grandparents, young adult, or teenager we all have the responsibility to tell the next generation about our mighty God and of the glorious deeds and wonders that He has done so that they would set their hope in Christ.

When Should We Tell Them?

What time frame do you consider when you think about impacting the next generation or leaving a godly legacy to them? Does your mind go to future? Certainly, we want to leave a lasting witness for Christ that will go beyond our days, but when do we start giving that legacy? The time is now!! Children are a part of our church now and need the presence, care, and support of the church body in their life as they grow. That is why as a children’s ministry, we say that we are imparting a godly legacy to the next generation. We are imparting it now so that it will help the children of our church now and will reach future generations as Psalm 78:6-7 states.

Serving in the Legacy Children’s Ministry is a Terrific Way to Impact the Next Generation.

We are looking for volunteers to serve with the Nursery through 5th-grade Connection Classes, Sunday Servers, Children Check-In and more. Maybe you like to greet and welcome others to church. The children check-in team is for you! Perhaps you enjoy teaching or leading a small group.  Children’s Connections is for you! Do you enjoy helping parents have a healthy marriage and make disciples of their children? The Children’s Ministry is for you! We are looking for people with various giftings and skills who have a passion for sharing Christ with the precious kids of our church family! Maybe you are not sure how your gifting and passion fits the Children’s Ministry—talk with Eric or Marianna, we would love to see how God can use your unique passion to impart a godly legacy to the next generation.

Join Us in Imparting a Godly Legacy to the Children of our Church that Will Impact Generations to Come!
