The problem is that many people think the Gospel is an invitation to discover purpose and meaning in life or acquiring peace in one’s heart. But did Christ ever give an invitation like this? Did Peter or John ever invite someone to trust in Christ to secure peace in their heart? Did Paul ever urge people to trust God to avoid going to hell?
