When the shepherds heard about the birth of Jesus form the Angels they hurried to see what had happened. Luke tells us in his gospel that after they had seen Mary, Joseph, and Jesus the shepherds went and told others the great news. Luke also records that they went glorifying and praising God for all they had seen and heard.
The coming of Jesus is a cause for celebration and worship. He is worthy of all our adoration and praise! He alone deserves our devotion!
What Do Your Children Think about the Coming of Jesus?
Here we are at the end of November, businesses and stores have already held dramatic sales events to “get us in the Christmas spirit.” Radio stations have started their 24-hour a day playing of Christmas music. As you think about the coming weeks leading up to Christmas, what plans do you have to talk with your children about the coming of Jesus and the implication it has for our lives? How do you plan to worship Jesus together as a family?
Here’s a Guide to Help
This year the Legacy Children’s Ministry has provided an Advent Family Worship Guide to aid you in taking time this month to help you and your children focus on Christ.
In this guide, you will find five devotions to go through with your kids. For each devotion, there are four categories:
- Worship Through the Word
- Worship Through Prayer
