Mark is writing so that the reader will believe Jesus to be the Son of God, bringing the Kingdom of God. To some, Jesus is out of his mind and yet to others Jesus displays an authority and love that is liberating. Today, Mark will unveil the full extent of Jesus’ identity so that the disciples can be conident that they are following the very Son of the living God.
