Life Changing Benefits

Thursday, June 22, 2017 by Eric Groover Leave a Comment

Serving on the Children’s Ministry Team has blessed my life!  Watching the children learn about Christ, absorb who He is and what He has done for them is life-changing.  The most exciting part of the ministry is that we are laying the foundation of faith for our precious children, not just for the here and now, but for eternity!

Donna

As a The Legacy Children’s Ministry, we seek to impart a Godly Legacy to the next generation and we want you to be a part of our team. We still need several people to serve as Connections Small Group Leaders and Teachers, and Sunday Servers.

Come join us as we tell the coming generation the glorious deeds of the LORD, and his might, and the wonders that he has done so that they should set their hope in God; trusting in Christ alone for Salvation.

Come join us as we seek to partner with parents to raise up children who:

  • Have a God-Centered view of the world.
  • Hope and Trust in Jesus Christ Alone for Salvation.
  • Treasure and Know God’s Word and Live according to it.
  • Love others to the glory of God.
  • Tell others about our amazing God and His Son Jesus.

Listen to the words of current and former Children’s Ministry team members as they give some of the benefits of serving in the Children’s Ministry

Making a Difference through Satisfying Work

It’s amazing to be part of God’s redemptive work. I am humbled by how He gives me love and wisdom to pour in these children. I cannot imagine more satisfying work!

Being Equipped to Make Disciples of Christ as You Serve Alongside Brothers and Sisters in Christ.

I was blessed to serve in the 4th grade class for the past two years.  I served with great teachers, and the students were amazing.  The curriculum is deep and rich, and I was filled up every week in studying the material that was being taught.  The monthly meetings provide all of the teachers with support, vision, and unity of purpose.  This is a great way to serve our church body, to support parents in training their young disciples at home, and to help equip a future generation to love the Lord with all their hearts.

Connecting with Others in the Church Family

Serving on the CMT has helped me connect with young people and their families. It has connected me with the people I was serving with. It has given me practice and instruction about talking to others (children) about the Gospel.

Jeff

Deepening Your Understanding of the Gospel

I have taught in CMT for 2 years, and it has been a complete joy to get to know the children and to watch them grow and learn.  I have learned SO much through the curriculum; the simple yet deep and true concepts have deepened my understanding and enhanced my skill to present the gospel truths to anyone, anytime.  I hesitated to teach because I really loved my adult Connections class, but I have grown just as much in the children’s class as I did in the adult class!  And now I have so much joy knowing that I have contributed to the faith journey of these precious children.  If you are hesitant to leave your adult class, I would strongly encourage you to pray about this opportunity and truly seek God’s wisdom.

Growing in Christ-likeness as You Minister to Children

Serving in Children’s Legacy Ministry at Grace Fellowship has kept me humble and refined in many ways. As I served, I was continually reminded of my child-like faith before Him. Through the years, I found myself encouraged as I saw the Holy Spirit move through little ones while they grew in their knowledge and curiosity of the Lord. It is here that sincere faith is openly displayed week to week as children are discovering the character and priorities of their Holy Creator. There is tremendous joy knowing that in some way, either through prayer, changing diapers, teaching, or leading them in worship, I was, in a most glorious way, acting as the hands and feet of our perfect Heavenly Father in caring for them. Leaving a legacy means taking the time to invest and in taking the time to invest, the fruit God produces is worth the labor. It is sweet to us as well as the next generation.
