We value asking questions to better understand how to live life in a God-centered, Christ-exalting way. Let’s face it, life is tough and trying to find your way on your own just makes things more difficult. But where can you go to find biblical answers to life issues? We believe that church should be THAT place. So, we have a “GraceTALK” every quarter in which some of our pastors answers questions that you have submitted.
Q1 (2:24, 27:32, 37:27). Should Christians get involved in social issues or keep THE issue about the Gospel only in order to avoid unnecessary conflict or muddying the waters with those we are trying to reach with the Gospel? I really want my co-workers to not be distracted by non-essentials . . . they need Jesus badly and not another voice on social issues like same-sex marriage or politics. How do I keep the main thing the main thing?

Q2 (16:00, 38:39). Numbers 23:19, Hebrews 6:17-18, and 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 all speak to God’s unchangeable character. How do you reconcile that with Exodus 32:11-14, Jonah 3:10, 1 Chronicles 21:15, 2 Samuel 24:15-16, Amos 7:4-6, and Ezekiel 24:14, which all speak of God relenting and not doing what he said he would do? It’s been said that God “changed” his mind because of the prayers of men in these passages. I personally think that is putting too much faith in man. How do you go about reconciling those verses with a fellow believer?
Q3 (30:52). In Acts 10:9-16, Peter is given a vision and rejects the Lord in refusing to act in accordance with the vision – “rise, kill and eat”. First, what is this about and second, why wasn’t he rebuked or even killed for telling the Lord, “No.”
