Important Information for Parents of K-5th graders

Tuesday, December 13, 2016 by Eric Groover Leave a Comment

Merry Christmas Parents

Children are an important part of our church family and we as the Legacy Children’s Ministry want to provide them an opportunity to serve others. This year the K-5 Connection Classes are partnering with our church Benevolence team to provide food for those in need.

An Opportunity to Give

On December 18th the kids will be having a Christmas Party during Connections to sing, fellowship and have cookies (allergy considerations are being accounted for). During that time I would like for them to bring an item(s) from the list below to be collected in bins.

  • Canned goods
    • It is preferred that these be ones with easy open lids (so no can opener is required).
  • Ramen Noodles
  • Chips
  • Bottled water and other drinks like juice boxes
  • Fruit snacks

An Opportunity to Disciple Your Children

I encourage you to pick up these items with your kids, using it as an opportunity to talk with them about God’s amazing love: how God cared so deeply for us that He sent His Son to save us & teaches us in His Word to care for others. Everyday life activities are great opportunities to teach and model the ways of Christ to our children!

Thankful to be partnering with you,

Pastor Eric
