We value asking questions to better understand how to live life in a God-centered, Christ-exalting way. Let’s face it, life is tough and trying to find your way on your own just makes things more difficult. But where can you go to find biblical answers to life issues? We believe that church should be THAT place. So, we have a “GraceTALK” every quarter in which some of our pastors answers questions that you have submitted.
(1:46) Q1. I have a friend who says the Bible was written by people trying to give people and society purpose and order. What would you say to that?
(8:53) Q2. I know that God speaks to us today from His Word. However, there are examples of God “speaking” to people through visions – Acts 9:10, 10:3, 19, 11:5, 12:9, 16:9-10 and 18:9-10. Are visions still possible today and, additionally, what is the role that impressions have in “hearing” from God? Again, I know the Bible is our final authority for what we are to believe and how we are to act. I am just seeking to find a balance of what I read in the Bible and how God has impressed on me in my life. I am looking for wisdom in the balance between the truth of God’s Word and the leadings I have.
(28:14) Q3. I know we believe in the Trinity but it is a tough concept to understand. Is there a verse or simple way to explain the “formula” of the Trinity and where is the best place in the Bible to see this formula?
