We value asking questions to better understand how to live life in a God-centered, Christ-exalting way. Let’s face it, life is tough and trying to find your way on your own just makes things more difficult. But where can you go to find biblical answers to life issues? We believe that church should be THAT place. So, we have a “GraceTALK” every quarter in which some of our pastors answers questions that you have submitted.
(2:05) Q1. I know a lot of people who aren’t truly Christians. They know I am. Because I am not very close with them, I don’t explicitly share the gospel with them because I am afraid that, because we don’t have a deep relationship, my telling them the gospel will only push them further from both God and me. Is it ok to wait to share the gospel until after we have a closer friendship?
(19:00) Q2. Psalm 2:12 states that the wrath of the Son is quickly kindled. Hebrews 1:5 cites Psalm 2, indicating that “Son” there is referring to Jesus. Hebrews 1:3 tells us that the Son is “the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature.” How do we reconcile the quickly kindled wrath of the Son in Psalm 2:12 with the many statements about God being slow to anger?
(26:32) Q3. In Ezekiel 18:32 it says that God has “no pleasure in the death of anyone” and yet it says in Deut. 28:63: the Lord will take delight in “bringing ruin upon you and destroying you.” Also, in the Old Testament we have plenty of examples of God putting people to death so I assume He is taking pleasure in this because He does all that He pleases – Ps. 135:6. How do I think this through?
