Operation Christmas Child

Monday, October 26, 2015 by Pat Dirrim 1 Comment

Feature_OperationChristmasChild
During this Christmas season Grace Fellowship is excited to announce its plans to partner with Operation Christmas Child (OCC)!  OCC provides shoes boxes containing necessities, toys, and the gospel to millions of children around the world each year! These boxes are called GO Boxes (Gospel Opportunity Boxes) in that each one is an opportunity for the gospel of Jesus Christ to be presented. Our goal this year is to provide all the contents necessary for 300 boxes! To do that, we will begin collecting all the necessary items that make up a box beginning on Sunday, October 25. Each week then, for five weeks, we will focus on different items that need to be in each box. An email will be forthcoming each week indicating what that week’s items are (and what should not be included!). We will be collecting those items in the lobby. At the end, on November 22, we will have a packing party where we will assemble everything that has been donated into the 300 boxes! It is our prayer not only that God would graciously provide all that is needed for those 300 GO Boxes, but that He would miraculously draw many children and their parents to Him because of these efforts.

In addition, we have acquired three different time slots at the OCC Regional Warehouse. The warehouse is where all the GO Boxes assembled by churches from all over the Southeast end up. At the warehouse, we will assist in the final assembly of the boxes and then pack them into shipping crates for international delivery. We will have sign-ups available for each of those events as the time draws closer to them.

Scheduled Packing Events

Nov 22: GO Box Packing Party
Nov 30: Warehouse Packing Event
Dec 02: Warehouse Packing Event
Dec 09: Warehouse Packing Event

Please be in prayer about how you may be involved in this effort and please pray that God would mightily use these GO Boxes to spread His glory in drawing many people to Him.
