We value asking questions to better understand how to live life in a God-centered, Christ-exalting way. Let’s face it, life is tough and trying to find your way on your own just makes things more difficult. But where can you go to find biblical answers to life issues? We believe that church should be THAT place. So, we have a “GraceTALK” every quarter in which some of our pastors answers questions that you have submitted.
Q1. (2:07) In his sermon on January 11th (“Make It Count”), Pastor Dan said that when we are forgiven, all of our sins, past, present, and future are forgiven. He then talked about how that should motivate me to not sin. I have been battling that notion. I do feel badly when I don’t walk in faith and have attitudes that I know are wrong, but should I feel badly since those attitudes have already been forgiven?
Q2. (10:35) If it is true that God cannot have anything to do with sin, how is it that a baby or young child—who is born into sin—can be allowed to enter the Kingdom of Heaven?
Q3. (24:03) What does the Bible say about Christian political activism? Should believers seek change though legislative means? Should we focus only on spreading the gospel? If all governing authority on earth comes from God (Romans 13:1), do our votes really matter?
Q4. (39:04) If Jesus was fully God, how is it that he had to depend on sinful people–his parents–during the first few years of his life?
