The death and resurrection of Jesus is the foundation on which Christianity rests. If Jesus didn’t die and if Jesus didn’t rise from the grave then the virgin birth, the miracles, and the very life and lessons of Jesus are meaningless. However, if Jesus really did live, die and rise from the grave then all of the miracles and teaching of Jesus should be treated as God’s word to us. Today, in part 1, we will consider the death of Jesus and that there was never a moment in which Jesus’ was not perfectly working to communicate that He is the Christ (“the anointed One”) sent to redeem humanity from the wrath of God due to our sin. Be thankful today for King Jesus and His incredible kindness toward us.
