Day 3—Sunday—had us dividing into two groups. One group went to our host church where Pat preached and Kevin interpreted. We saw several of the people who had attended the seminar on Saturday. With an abundance of singing and teaching prior to the sermon, we ended up being there for three hours.
The other group, after a slight detour—the driver went to the wrong church, attended a combined service of two other churches in Yumbo, a town just outside of Cali. Larry preached there to a group of about 70-75 people.
After church, our hosts insisted on taking us up to a mountain restaurant where we had a delicious, traditional meal and a spectacular view. Our plans to go up to a park later in the day and do our presentations were thwarted by slow service and hosts that wanted us to enjoy the day, Latin style. We ended up spending the entire day at the restaurant. Since Monday (tomorrow) is a holiday, we will go up to the park in the morning instead of our previously planned activities.
