If you are a regular viewer of shows that feature a building being built or a house being remodeled, you know the force the expression, “the reveal.” It is that singular moment in which all the planning and all the effort comes to a moment in time in which everyone gets to see the grand view of all that the builder has accomplished. It could be said that the greatest “reveal” of all time occurred at the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. The resurrection is the pinnacle of all the acts of Jesus expressing himself as the Savior for the world. However, Jesus becoming the Savior did not just happen. As our passage today will unveil, Jesus became the Savior by decree, by design, and through His death. The resurrection was a certainty precisely because Jesus was and is the Savior of the world. We are glad you are here today to consider these incredible truths.
