At Grace Fellowship, we value asking questions to better understand how to live life in a God-centered, Christ-exalting way. We believe the church should be THE place you can go to to get biblical answers to real life issues. In order to encourage an environment that fosters this, we have what we call “GraceTALK” every quarter. During GraceTALK, some of our pastors will answer questions that have been submitted. During the session we will also feature follow-up questions via an open mic. We also offer the option of texting your question to the church if speaking during the open mic portion is not your cup of tea.
To get you thinking, here is the first question we will be discussing in this week’s GraceTALK:
Is belief in a 6 literal 24hr day interpretation of Gen 1 a requirement for orthodoxy or is it a disputable matter? As a Christian who also has a passion for science,
I find AinG very unscientific with its required presupposition for this interpretation. Grudem appears very balanced on the issue and Reasons.org gives a very different solidly scientific Christian view. I don’t believe our faith or God’s Majesty, as displayed in Creation, is threatened by how old science currently says the universe appears to be. I find quite the opposite to be true.
