As most of you know, we purchased approximately 7.5 acres on Ronald Reagan and paid it off.
We designed a project that is approximately 50,000 sq. ft. when all completed.
This Spring until early fall, we went through the county zoning and approval process. We also selected a general contractor, Merit Construction, who gave us an initial budget estimate and scope of work.
2 weeks ago, we received actual construction documents that are now sent out for bids. Merit construction is presently receiving bids from many subcontractors for various aspects of the work. Overall, the budgets are in line with our previous estimates. Some are a little higher, some are a little lower.
In addition, we have met with various banks, submitted loan proposal packages which are now under review.
The banks expect to give us a final proposal this week. If it is all approved, we will be ready to move forward. If not, we will look at reducing scope, or building in phases. As you know, the church approved a plan that set limits on what we would spend each month for a mortgage. We simply will not exceed it. If proposed payments are more than the budget, we will not do it. We will either cut back, or delay portion of our build out. We are committed to staying at or under our budget.
In addition, we formed a design team led by Celeste Jackson that is working on interior and exterior materials, colors, etc. They are doing a fantastic job.
Please pray that we will honor the Lord in all that we are doing.
