Over the previous 3 teachings in this series we have considered three designations related to what it means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ. Week one we walked through the name given to early disciples by those outside the church, the designation of “Christian” or “party of Christ.” In week two we considered the Pauline favorite phrase that disciples were best understood as being “in Christ.” In week three we explored the sobering reality that disciples are to consider themselves “slaves” of Jesus. We are to see ourselves as slaves who serve a joy-giving, life-enabling Master!Today we will consider some other aspects of being a disciple that all reveal a fresh and proper understanding of who you are as a follower of Jesus Christ. In other words, we will examine four concepts that Jesus uses to answer the question: Who Are You?
