Dear Grace Fellowship Family:
We wanted to update you on the latest information on the proposed new buildings. As most of you know, we are in preparations for breaking ground on the land we purchased on Ronald Reagan.
As we approach that time, we want to continue to give regular updates. In addition, we encourage you to come and pray each week prior to the service at 8:30 in room 11. You can also review the plans, and ask questions in room 10 immediately after Connections this Sunday.
We have great news regarding our site plans. The Environmental Health Department has approved our revised plan for a septic field. This is a huge blessing. In addition, we did not have to reduce the size of the auditorium at all (this was originally one of the county’s suggestions, which would have reduced the size of septic field needed.)
From there, we met with the Fire Marshal. They had asked us to provide fire truck access within 150 feet of every portion of the buildings. However, after meeting with them, they are no longer requiring that. Instead, they asked us to move the proposed fire hydrants to different locations, which is easily accomplished (and affordable). We praise God for His kindness.
Now that we have preliminary approval from these departments, our next step is to submit our plans for a C.U.P., a conditional use permit. This is required for all “houses of worship”. In addition, the architects are preparing plans to submit to general contractors for initial bidding.
Throughout this process, we want to honor the Lord and see His fame spread. As we move forward in this process, continue to pray for several things:
First, that we will continue to have unity, clarity, wisdom, and peace as we seek to honor the Lord throughout this process.
Second, that regardless of circumstances or outcomes, we will declare our trust that God is in control, and that things will work out as they should in His perfect will.
Third, that the county representatives will be able to help us develop solutions that will meet the requirements of the county, be beneficial to the community, and minimize the impact to our church building project.
Fourth, that we will seek to honor Him in this and in all things.
Please continue to pray that our gracious God guides us through this process and that we are faithful to do His will and depend on Him in this effort for His glory.
As always, please feel free to contact us or to ask any questions that you may have. Have a blessed week.
