We wanted to give you a quick update on the church office building. As many of you know, by God’s grace, we are planning to build a new building on the Ronald Reagan property. For those new to the church, we paid off 7.5 acres of land at 2750 Ronald Reagan several months ago and are now in the planning process to build.
As we have communicated before, there is not enough water pressure currently available on the property to operate a fire hydrant, which will be required with a new building. There is water available about 1200 feet away (near Cici’s Pizza). We have a meeting scheduled for tomorrow to discuss the situation with the head of the water department. Our hope is to come up with an affordable solution that is helpful to the church, helpful to the county and our neighbors.
Please pray that we will honor the Lord in all of these meetings, and that God’s hand will move through this situation in a way that will bring Him the most glory. Also pray that regardless of the situation or the outcome, we will praise and thank Him in all circumstances.
Second, as mentioned previously, we are moving out of the office building this week, but will have Connections as scheduled for this Sunday. We will then take a break from Connections in November (and possibly December) to allow us to set up the new spaces, make any necessary changes etc.
Presently, we are setting up an office in the right suite of the 1375 building (where the skate park used to be) The copy machine, phone, computer, and all needed office supplies will be accessible there. We will also have an adult Connections class there. This is a huge blessing!
Please pray that in this situation and in all things, we will trust in our good and great God, seek to honor Him, and bring glory to His holy name.
As always, please feel free to contact us or to ask any questions that you may have.
Hope to see you Sunday as we worship together!
