The topics of God’s sovereignty and man’s responsibility have been debated for centuries. Many think of these two truths as needing resolution as if one truth is too elevated in Scripture and needs to be toned down by the other in order to “get it right”. Could it be that these truths are not at odds with each other in the Bible, but that Scripture teaches that God uses the actions and choices (both noble and sinful) of people to accomplish His sovereign-from-before-there-was-time will? It is an incredibly important topic that will impact how you worship God and live your life.
