Yesterday was another amazing day in the village of San Mateo! We have been blessed with beautiful weather and have only had rain one day. Since this is the rainy season, it is truly a blessing!
We installed stoves in the morning and some of the students gave the gospel presentation to the people that were receiving the stove. It was such a joy to see. Maria, a lady that received a stove today, was so grateful and asked us to pray for her. Her husband left her after she had their sixth child and she is having a difficult time. She has a friend that helps her but it is hard. It was a blessing to pray for her and to spend time with her. If you think about it, could you pray for Maria today?
VBS was such a blast today! The kids are such a joy to play with and they are so much more comfortable around us. Krista did an awesome job with the lesson and the children listened intently. We spent more time in our small groups today so that we could talk to them more about how Jesus came to fix our sin problem. It was such a sweet time. The children have had a verse to memorize every day and the majority are doing it! That has been wonderful!
Last night we had a fun dinner together at the mission house. Then we spent about an hour and a half putting together the VBS supplies for today. We are giving each child a bag with a trophy that says, Dios Siempre Gana (God always wins), a t shirt, balls, their verses, and some little toys. We had a huge assembly line going and great teamwork. It is our last day of Bible lessons today and then tomorrow we have a huge celebration.
Pray for us today that we will be faithful in the sharing of the gospel, continue to be flexible and have good attitudes that honor and bring glory to God!

Hi there,
It’s such a blessing to hear about the good things happening in your “world”. How awesome and faithful is our Father!!!
I’m a teacher and know exactly the feeling when you talk about the kids, they are so willing to learn something new, from someone new, like little sponges.
Keep it up and you all are in my prayers.
God Bless
Yolanda
