We have been considering how John’s writing portrays Jesus as being on a rescue mission to both the known and unknown of society. Jesus’ interaction with both Nicodemus (John 3) and the “woman at the well” (John 4) show how He reaches out to all types of people from all sorts of backgrounds. Today we will see how this unknown woman is used to introduce her entire village to Jesus and hope that you grasp afresh the power of God’s grace to enable you to reach the people that intersect with your life.
