When talking about theology precision is crucial. Therefore, the words we use are important. As a case in point, much of the recent controversy around T.D. Jakes being invited to The Elephant Room centered on the words Jakes uses when describing God. Erik Raymond points out here that even something as seemingly insignificant as a conjunction can have huge theological implications.
