In week’s message we will consider the goodness of God. The goodness of God may seem an obvious truth, but can be tricky given the way we give meaning to the word “good.” We often use the word to describe an ability of someone. For example, “He is good at football.” We use it to describe a vehicle, “It runs good.” We can also use it to describe how someone looks, “They look good.” However, that is not how the goodness of God is to be understood. God IS good. This means that God is the measure and origin of goodness and anything that is to be defined as good must be measured and defined from His standard of Being. The goodness of God has profound meaning for us in the way we perceive God’s actions and how we see life. We will find out today that God IS good. Therefore, we can trust Him. The “Spectrum” series is about exploring some of those characteristics of God with a view to see Him more clearly and then worship Him more passionately. MP3 download.
