One of my favorite books is Drew Brees’ book on coming back from his injury. It’s difficult to see the purpose when you are being tested. He thought he’d be a Charger his whole career and the way I took it, after everything he had to go through he realized God had a different plan for him that he would’ve never imagined. I was in a motorcycle accident 6 years ago and from the injuries I had, I shouldn’t be here. I think God uses tests to get our attention, and we need more stories like Brees or Thomas to remind us it isn’t about us and what we want, it’s about God.
