Today, we are taking the final diagnostic test designed to evaluate critical areas of our spiritual development. During this series, we have considered seven gauges that every Christian needs to monitor if they are to be healthy and balanced. Each gauge is a display of what is really going on in our heart when it comes to our devotion to Jesus. We view each of these gauges not so much as an obligation to improve but an invitation to enjoy our Lord. The word “diagnostic” comes from the field of medicine and of a doctor making a “diagnosis” regarding the condition of a patient. The word has expanded in its use to relate to anything that has an intended function and is not working at peak performance. Our hope for Grace Fellowship is that we regularly evaluate our progress toward maturing in the faith and laying hold of the joy that awaits for all who enjoy their relationship with our gracious and good God.
