Easter celebrates is the quintessential moment in the history of mankind. Within the resurrection, the issue of “what” will God do to pay for our sins is answered. However, there was a question that was casting doubt on the validity of the resurrection for some people in the church at Corinth. The question of “how can the resurrection occur given our human bodies?” was seeping into the church. In order to build confidence in the resurrection of Jesus, Paul tackles this question starting in I Corinthians 15:35.
In Paul’s reply, we are given a glimpse of our Heavenly Father who is not only powerful enough to raise from the dead every person who has ever been born again; we are given a vision of a Heavenly Father graciously providing for us new bodies that will have the capacity to be completely satisfied with Him and enjoy Him for eternity in a way we could never imagine today. And, Paul says, all of this is possible due to the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
