The word “diagnostic” comes from the field of medicine and of a doctor making a “diagnosis” regarding the condition of a patient. The word has expanded in its use to relate to anything that has an intended function and is not working at peak performance. Whether it is a student in school or the strength of a piece of steel or an engine in a car, the idea of determining the reason for the poor performance involves conducting a diagnostic test.
Over the next seven weeks, we will be taking a diagnostic test related to seven critical dimensions of your soul. We will look “under the hood” and ask you to consider if there are some changes that need to occur in order for you to function with more joy as a follower Jesus Christ. The seven areas or “gauges” are able to give you a quick and accurate diagnosis of your spiritual health. We are excited about our time together today and the worship of our amazing God.
