Anyone who has read the Bible will readily admit that there are amazing stories and fantastic adventures as God pursues His people. We can learn so much from how God takes ordinary people and turns them into great “heroes” of the faith. There are people such as Abraham who left everything he knew because God told him to. Then there is Moses who went from being a murdered to being a liberator. Who could leave out Esther who was used by God to rescue an entire nation from a lunatic who was threatening Israel with extinction? We could walk through the Bible and pick out one amazing story after another.
Unfortunately, there are also tragic stories in the Bible concerning people who, although they had every chance at being used greatly by God, simply trashed their lives. What can we learn from these people that may help us make sense of our lives and get a glimpse at very character of God as He deals with them?
