Fathers Being Fathers from Prison (Video)

Thursday, July 22, 2010 by Dan Miller 2 Comments

Angola State Penitentiary in Louisianan was know as the bloodiest prison in the United States. The prison is the largest maximum security prison in the United States with 5,000 inmates and 1,800 staff members. It sits on 18,000 acres and surrounded on three sides by the Mississippi River. Now, with the visionary leadership of Burl Cain things are different. There is now a Bible College and multiple ministries in which men are becoming disciples of Jesus Christ. One expression of God’s grace at Angola is a program called Malachi 4:6 Dads. The video tells the story.

Join me in asking God to develop other men like Warden Cain who see how the State needs what the Church offers so that the fame of God will spread.

Amen!! and God bless these men and their children that they are able to hear of the strength and wondrous works of our Lord! Powerful!

Psalm 78:1 Listen, O my people, to my instruction; Incline your ears to the words of my mouth.
2 I will open my mouth in a parable; I will utter dark sayings of old,
3 Which we have heard and known, And our fathers have told us.
4 We will not conceal them from their children, But tell to the generation to come the praises of the LORD, And His strength and His wondrous works that He has done.
5 For He established a testimony in Jacob And appointed a law in Israel, Which He commanded our fathers That they should teach them to their children,
6 That the generation to come might know, even the children yet to be born, That they may arise and tell them to their children,
7 That they should put their confidence in God And not forget the works of God, But keep His commandments,
8 And not be like their fathers, A stubborn and rebellious generation, A generation that did not prepare its heart And whose spirit was not faithful to God.
