Immanuel, Part 2

Sunday, December 20, 2009 by Ken Rutherford Leave a Comment

When you consider the connection between the prophecy in Isaiah 7:14 and the birth of Christ, do you sometimes feel like you just don’t get it? When read in context, this prophecy seems clearly to be referring to an individual who was a contemporary of the people at the time of its writing—some 700+ years before the birth of Jesus. In this lesson, we explore the meaning of this prophecy, how it served as a sign to the people of Isaiah’s day, and how it serves as a sign to the people of God in the First Century and beyond.
