Today we will consider the event that helped define the very identity of the people in the Old Testament, Passover. So why study a section of Scripture that happened thousands of years ago to an unrelated group of people in a foreign land dealing with customs completely different than ours? The Passover event was so profound that God said that it would be an event that Israel was commanded to never forget (Exodus 12:14). Can you think of any other event that God commands this level of attention to be given? There is something so pivotal, so fundamental to the identity of His people that to forget its meaning is to offend the very God of the universe. It is crystal-clear that we need to know the significance of this event. Exodus 12:1-14. MP3 download.
