Pastor Dan was part of the core group that started Grace Fellowship in 2003. Pastor Dan is our primary teaching pastor, leads the staff, and oversees the vision and strategy for our disciplemaking philosophy of ministry. Dan married Vicki in 1993. Together, they enjoy their seven children – Benjamin (married to Courtney), David, Alexa, Zachary (married to Ginna), Nathan, Ana, and Autumn, along with one grandchild - Lucy.

With the light of love as my guide, the feather of angels as my pen, and the blood of Aphrodite as ink, I weave my thoughts for you.
Such charm and radiant beauty as yours could calm the wildest beast and entice the devil himself into giving his soul for you, just so he could look upon your face.
What person in their sane mind could resist those beautiful blue eyes? They twinkle and glimmer like those ultra bright blue LEDs which people put in their Hi-Fi’s and computers.
Words alone cannot express how unique my love is for you. I love you, and you only, I swear that to you my love ….having said that I do love my MP3 player which I love listening to when you are not around. Come to think of it I listen to it when you are around too, but thats besides the point. My point is that I love you and my love for you is unique (isn’t it weird how the word ‘unique’ and ‘eunuch’ sound the same? The word Unix also sounds similar, but ‘Chimpanzee’ doesn’t)
I really must tell you though, I absolutely adore your gorgeous smile! I think if God created something truly amazing, then its definitely gotta be your smile! I know some people say the same thing about horses and giraffes, but I think your smile exceeds anything else!
With every breath in my body and every fibre of my soul, I wish you a velvet kisses drenched, and love-soaked Valentines Day.

Last Tuesday was the 23rd anniversary of our “first date” and today is 23 years to the day that we first sang together for the Atlanta Youth Ranch Valentines concert on Thursday February 14th 1985 at Calvary Baptist in Dunwoody.
We have been making beautiful music together ever since.
Humanly speaking you have made all the difference in my life!

I can’t fully describe it, I just know that it is there. Two imperfect people consider the other of more value than themselves, and somehow, both are made the greater.
I love how your laughter spreads joy in our home. I love how your model of strength gives our daughters opportunity for the future. I love how your faithfulness endures the difficulty to make the blessings so much richer. I don’t know why but I have undeservedly been given the gift of your love and affection.
Though tears will inevitably fall, I pray that they will never be between us, but over and for each other.
And so I commit to you this. That you would be assured of this mysterious, beautiful, connection that only we share. Some times in word. Some times in deed. Other times in just being there. And even when being there is not possible, in the knowing that your joy and beauty light my heart wherever I am.

Christmas Eve is always full of anticipation. On Christmas Eve, the idea of “tomorrow” is full of hope and joy and excitement… because something great is coming the next day.
February 11, 1996, was the last day I didn’t know you. The next day was one of the top days of my life, but there was no anticipation, no excitement about “tomorrow”… I had no idea what was coming.
But God did. The Divine Matchmaker must have had a sly grin as I left my bass at church that Sunday night so that I could give those kids a ride home… and only he knew that when I came back to get it Monday afternoon, you’d be there.
On the eve of our meeting, if I knew what God knew, I would have been grinning too.
So while only God could enjoy the anticipation of our meeting, you and I can live an entire life of anticipation of every single day. You only meet the love of your life once, but every day you have together is a day that should be looked forward to.
For me, that means that every day I get to look forward to another wonderful day with a beautiful, thoughtful, caring, merciful, hard-working, and God-honoring woman who loves me as ardently as you do, and who loves the Lord even more than she loves me. I’m a better man for having enjoyed my walk through life with you for the 4,385 tomorrows since we met.
So here’s to today, together, with you… and Lord willing, a long lifetime full of lots and lots of happy tomorrows.
