I had never heard of St. Anne’s Public House until Jeff Peeples mentioned it in a comment on a previous post. I’ve downloaded some of their recent material and have been listening to it for a couple of days now. It’s an audio magazine with interviews, editorials, and musical interludes. Topics cover a broad range of issues that believers face within the church and the broader culture.
They are distinctly reformed in their perspective, but what I like is that most of their criticism and satire seems to be directed more toward areas where reformed believer are most likely to need correction. It is challenging to the believer instead of simply bashing the other side.
Of course I love the pub theme. It hearkens back to a day when gentlemen discussed religion and politics over a pint–very C.S. Lewis like.
I haven’t necessarily agreed with everything I’ve heard, but I’ve enjoyed the challenge. And with all of the classical music and quiet, civil one-on-one interviews, my more cultured friends who listen to NPR have nothing on me now!

The cool thing is that not only can you listen to it online, or as a podcast, but you can also get a CD version if you subscribe. Technology-wise its not as good as Mars Hill Audio Journal, but its good stuff. I also can’t say I endorse every view they have, but I do like the “iron sharpening iron” aspect of the discussions.
