Eric is privileged to be an elder at Grace Fellowship, a husband to an amazing woman (Donna), and daddy to two cool kids (Austin and Savannah). If he had free free time, Eric would probably go fishing, boating, or shoot some amateur photography.

Just makes you wonder…what were they thinkin’?
Should we contact them and just check and be sure they know they are quoting a verse they might not want to quote as their theme?
Hilarious…in a not so pious way.
Well, it seems that someone did let them know about their problem, and they have since changed the graphic. For those of you that missed it, where the phone number now is, it read (roughly)… If you worship me, it will all be yours. Luke 4:7
Yeah, I think they were using the KJV: “If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.”
Same thing, right? Only it sounds like God said it when it contains “thou.” 😉
You guys all know that the UCC are basically a group of Unitarians….. right?
They are certainly ultra-liberal. The UCC brings us the Reverend Barry Lynn of Americans United for Separation of Church and State.
There’s a lot of buzz around the blogosphere that the website in question was defaced by a hacker.
Who knows if that’s true, but they deserve the benefit of the doubt. After all, such a thing could happen to this site too. Just think what David Ennis could do if he got all ornery… 😉
Anyway, if it got people reading their Bibles and thinking about context, that’s a Good Thing(tm).
The latest is worth a quick read. Good for them.
Justin Taylor seems to have set the record straight.
It was not a hack.
It was just a mistake.
They’re embarrassed.
They’ve fixed it.
Like Eric said… good for them.
Honest mistake. I have done that before with different verses. The non-pious humor was in the fact that it was THAT verse. 🙂

Is it hacking if you’re a webmaster? 😉
