Happy Thanksgiving!

Thursday, November 24, 2005 by Kevin Hosner 2 Comments

Today is Thanksgiving. Angela and I have the privilege of spending it with my side of the family. As little children scurry around the house, and as I ponder all that we have to be thankful for, it is deeply humbling and quite amazing to see the goodness of God.

And it makes me very thankful that God has given us the privilege to be a part of a church that desires to proclaim the good news of the gospel and to see people grow in their understanding of the greatness of God and in their desire to share Christ with those around them.

Today, as we sit around the table with our families, let’s take a few minutes to thank God for what He has done and for the uncountable ways He has blessed us.

I also want to thank God that He has allowed us to live in a country where we are free to worship Him. May His hand be on the soldiers who are serving today to protect those freedoms.

I also want to thank God for our salvation. To know that the Holy God of the universe made a way for us to have an eternal realtionship with Him is an incredible truth. Thanks to Christ for taking on our punishment on the cross. He is an amazing God!

Let’s thank Him who is the giver of all good things.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving! May God use this day to bring glory to His name.

Thanks C.A. I hope you and your family had a great Thanksgiving.

When we ponder all that God has done for us it really brings better perspective and how grateful we should be for His immeasurable grace.
